Sound design for an autobiographical solo by Fahd Lahrzaoui, in collaboration with George Dhauw.

About

You have been reborn, now the party can start. Not.

Theater maker and actor Fahd Larhzaoui made his breakthrough in 2014 with his solo Schijn, about a man who leads a double life. Where Schijn was a coming of age, successor Shirt Uit Fahd! is a facing of the facts, where Fahd gives an insight into the gay scene with its parties and experiments with drugs.

How do you deal with total freedom? Where are the boundaries when everything is borderless? And how do you live with a time bomb inside of your body?

In Shirt Uit Fahd! we meet Fahd at a crossroads in his existence. It feels good to be at a party where no one has an opinion about him, which gives him a total sense of freedom. But more than an escape from reality, Fahd hopes to find something he lost – love, his own identity and a new family, after his own family turned their backs on him following his coming out. Contrary to what the uncontrollable fear of missing out in the nightlife scene suggests, Fahd is mainly looking for that one person who can make the pain, anger, shame and disillusionment disappear.
